It adopts the premise no single health/wellbeing factor can be taken in isolation of other motivational issues which might impact a person’s care.
HMP Lewes is based East Sussex. The prison is a category B adult prison and houses up to 730 prisoners, all with varying sentence lengths.

What do we need from you so you can do the job?
The role of the Business Manager in prison healthcare is at the heart of the service. The role is essential to assist in the development of management information and reporting systems which will support managers (clinical and non-clinical) in the delivery of operational services. We are looking for someone with the enthusiasm and ability to provide support and guidance, in relation to Business, Quality and Performance.
You will be responsible for completing reporting for the prison, working with senior management and informing senior operational management of any ongoing performance against the key service targets.
You'll have to carry out general administrative duties within the prison, as well as working within set routines, policies and procedures to provide a comprehensive high quality service to the unit, and able to deal efficiently and courteously with patients and staff enquiries.
Additionally, you will be responsible for the administration team, so will be competent in support a team and inspiring them to achieve and develop.
The situation in the prison can change at any minute. You need to be able to communicate effectively, work as part of a team and follow instruction diligently.
It’s this variety that keeps things fresh and stimulating. Every day will bring new challenges and new experiences but you’ll have all the support you need to deliver the best practice possible from both the healthcare team and the prison team.

This is a full time role working 37.5 hours per week across Monday to Friday 08:00 - 16:00.
