Contract Type: 3 month FTC, variable hours
Pay Rate: £9ph

We are looking for Call Handler Support on a 3 month fixed term basis, which could be the opportunity you have been looking for to start your healthcare career!
About the role
As part of your role you will be supporting our patients and 111 contact centre teams by managing calls from patients and healthcare professionals, updating systems as appropriate and following our operating procedures to respond to callers’ questions ensuring excellent customer care.
You will need to use your excellent communication skills, professional manner and calm approach to be able to respond quickly and positively to our patient’s queries.
You will also need to use your IT skills to accurately record information quickly with a high level of accuracy.
Our patients are treated with empathy, respect and consideration, so you will need to use your experience and skills to effectively deal with calls and queries.
Our 111 teams are friendly, welcoming and the patients are at the heart of everything they do, so you will be a crucial part of an excellent team and customer care focused environment.
Training and Support
You will have support and training to be a confident and effective Call Handler Support and will need to attend a one week in depth induction and training programme.
Start Date: Monday 14th June.
Training takes place on weekdays (9am-5pm) for 5 days.
Following your training you can benefit from full time or part time hours with flexible shifts to fit around you and your other commitments, you will also need to be available evenings and weekends.
It doesn’t stop there! In the future we may have opportunities for you to progress your career and you could attend further training to be able to use the NHS 111 pathways system to become a Health Advisor.
We are looking for someone who can demonstrate previous experience relevant to the role, works well under pressure and can organise a busy workload to meet deadlines. An excellent communicator, who is used to maintaining confidentiality, you will be able to demonstrate great attention to detail and good IT and data analysis skills.
It would be great if you have experience in working in a call centre or customer service environment and if you have an understanding of healthcare services that would be beneficial.
