As a Consultant Radiologist you will provide expert advice, guidance and support in relation to all clinical diagnostic imaging matters across our Practice Plus Group services. You will work closely alongside the Health Care divisional diagnostics team, operational service managers and directors, quality governance managers and the clinical team consisting of Radiologists, Radiographers and Sonographers.
This is a national post across the division for 5 days per month with a requirement to attend meetings and visit services and staff in sites across a wide geographical area of the country.

About You

Responsible to the medical director you will act as a focal point internally and externally for diagnostics services and will provide medical leadership, clinical support and subject matter expertise on a range of imaging examinations across Practice Plus Group through both in house and sub contracted service delivery. In addition you will provide support for x-ray facilities in our prisons in terms of protocols and ionising radiation protection legislation.
With a current registration with the GMC’s specialist register of Radiologists you’ll be committed to your own continuing medical education and professional development, with clinical research/audit within Radiology. You will also have a track record for developing clinical and/or operational policy services, showing innovation in service delivery and management. Ideally you will also have experience of Quality Assurance programmes for Radiolology.
