Receive an annual salary of up to £45,000 - depending on experience. You will also get a number of benefits including a company contributory pension scheme, 25 days annual leave plus 8 public bank holidays plus CPD and re-validation support (if clinical).

A bit about the job…
Following recent internal promotion, we're looking for a Deputy Head of Healthcare to join the team at HMP Featherstone.
As the Deputy Head of Healthcare you will be responsible for the effective day-to-day operational management of all clinical services across the prison. You will manage service level agreements, ensuring performance-monitoring standards are adhered to and the highest standards of care are maintained. You will also be responsible for ensuring compliance with the essential standards of quality and safety.
You will also be deputising for the Head of Healthcare in their absence and supporting them across the range of their duties.

HMP Featherstone is a Category C closed adult male prison, located on the outskirts of Wolverhampton. It has an operational capacity of 703 offenders who are received from other prisons and rarely direct from court. The prison is operated by Her Majesty’s Prison Service.

A little bit about you...
You will be able to provide evidence of your leadership ability and will have undertaken management training, with an understanding of clinical governance and staff management. You will have an awareness of risk assessment and managing budgets.
Clinical qualifications are desirable but not essential, as is custodial or secure setting experience.
This is a full-time vacancy, working 37.5 hour per week.
