Practice Plus Group is looking for an exceptional individual to manage the range of health care services at HMP Stocken.
HMP Stocken is a category C closed training prison, with a capacity of 1069 men. Practice Plus Group provides a dedicated healthcare service specialising in supporting patients with complex medical requirements, mental health issues and primary care needs.
What will you be doing?
The successful candidate will have an innovative and adaptable approach to service design and delivery. Well-developed problem solving skills that acknowledges and respects multi-agency working will be vital if services are to continue to meet the needs of patients in a challenging custody setting. Successfully working with HMPPS colleagues and a range of other external agencies will also be a critical part of the role.
The post holder you will be responsible for the effective day-to-day operational management of all clinical services provided throughout the prison, including primary care nursing clinics, GP clinics, mental health and substance misuse services. You will be responsible for the management and monitoring of all service level agreements (dental services, physiotherapy, podiatry etc.) ensuring performance-monitoring standards are adhered to and the highest standards of care are maintained.
As the registered CQC Manager, you will be responsible for supporting and ensuring compliance with the essential standards of quality and safety as well as notifying the Regional Manager of any areas of concern.
The successful candidate will work as part of the East of England cluster of Health in Justice providers working in partnership with senior colleagues in other prisons to help to ensure quality and consistency within the cluster as well as representing the HMP Stocken healthcare department in strategic discussions on the direction and delivery of future services.
Practice Plus Group operates an integrated team approach working in partnership with HMPPS staff and colleagues to implement the most effective way of providing high quality healthcare services to our patients in a way that can be considered equivalent to those services delivered in the community.
In addition, the successful post holder will also have:
• Budget oversight and management responsibilities
• Performance data to monitor and manage
• Responsibility for leading recruitment of staff when vacancies arise
• Their own personal development plan
Salary and Benefits
The salary for this role is up to £50,000 per annum depending on experience + 10% Performance Related Bonus + £4,000 Car Allowance.

This is a full-time, permanent role working 37.5 hours a week within HMP Stocken with the expectation of travel across the region to attend meetings. Moving forward there may be some on-call responsibility with this role although this will be discussed at interview.
