We are currently seeking Bank Emergency Technicians within HMP Exeter, a category B Male Prison located in the centre of Exeter.
Working as a Bank Emergency Technician offers you flexibility and workplace variety. You would also be assisting the wider permanent team, covering for planned and unplanned absences.

HMP YOI Exeter is an adult/young offenders institution accepting males ages 18 and over; with an operational capacity of 550+. It accepts all adult and young offenders committed to prison by the courts from Cornwall, Devon, Dorset & West Somerset.
What will you be doing?
As an Emergency Care Technician (ETC) at HMP Exeter your responsibilities will vary. Working alongside the multidisciplinary team, you can expect to deliver high quality care ranging from monitoring of long term conditions, health promotion and screening and responding to emergencies. You will also work collaboratively with the Healthcare Team to meet the needs of patients, supporting the delivery of Local and National Policies and Procedures.
A little bit about you
You will hold either Edexcel/IHCD training programme, or equivalent (BTEC level 3 Ambulance Aid or equivalent qualifications. You must also have relevant experience such as responding in a community setting.
Salary and Benefits
The salary rate for the role is £18 per hour.

This is a bank vacancy with variable hours as required and night shift work will be required.
At HMP Exeter we deliver a 24/7 care and working hours vary to provide overall support.
The working hours consist of:
Day – 07:30 - 17:30
Late – 13:15 - 21:15
Early – 07:30 - 15:30
Night – 21:00 – 07:45
