To contribute and support delivery of primary care within a secure environment, by providing nursing care, implement clinical care packages, while working unsupervised.

HM Prison Wormwood Scrubs is a Category B men's prison, located in the Wormwood Scrubs area of the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham, in inner west London, England.

About the Job....

As a Healthcare Assistant, your responsibilities will vary. You will be involved in the implementation of clinical care packages, phlebotomy and assessment, treatment and the evaluation of patients’ care. You will support and assist patients with the activities of daily living, work with the Pharmacy Team to help them fulfill their daily tasks and you will be encouraged to take the lead on wellbeing promotion clinics.

Job Requirements...

We are on the lookout for Healthcare Assistants who have experience of working within a Primary Care setting including GP surgeries, hospitals and has proven experience in clinical observations such as performing ECG, Phlebotomy.

You’ll hold an NVQ 2/3 in Health and Social Care and must have a willingness to undertake training in Mental Health Awareness, suicide prevention, self-harm and ACCT procedures as well as Health Promotion and screening.

Salary and Benefits...

The salary for this role is up to £ £25,698 per annum pro rata - dependent on experience. The Hours will be 25 hours per week.
