HMP Oakwood is the largest prison in Europe, holding 2106 Category C male offenders. HMP Oakwood’s large modern healthcare facilities enable us to deliver “Exceptional Care” to our patient group. We provide a range of both physical and psychosocial health care service, including long term conditions, primary care, wound care, sexual health, mental health services, substance misuse, social care and pharmacy.

What do we need from you so you can do the job?
As a Healthcare Assistant, your responsibilities will vary, you will be involved in the implementation of clinical care packages, phlebotomy and assessment, treatment and the evaluation of patients’ care.
You will support and assist patients with the activities of daily living, work with the Pharmacy Team to help them fulfil their daily tasks and you will be encouraged to take the lead on wellbeing promotion clinics.
Applicants are required to have achieved NVQ 3 in health and social care, or the alternative BTEC health and social care.

The salary for this role is up to £19,000 per annum – dependent on experience.
