We could give you the opportunity to either embark into or develop your skills in Substance Misuse, as well as offering other development opportunities that benefit the service i.e. BBV, sexual health, plastering, ILS (intermediate life support), health promotion, phlebotomy, vaccinations, suturing, wound care, RCGP, and long term condition courses.

Foston Hall is a closed female prison holding up to 347 women who range from remand to long term. Healthcare does not currently have inpatient beds but does have three safer custody rooms. The prison is operated by Her Majesty’s Prison Service.

Receive an annual salary of up to £33,000 depending on experience.

What do we need from you so you can do the job?
As a Substance Misuse Nurse or Developmental Substance Misuse Nurse, you’ll be an integral part of the healthcare team by bringing your top notch clinical skills and passion for care. With plenty of primary care experience, you could be involved in anything from developing and leading clinics, undertaking examinations and tests as well as answering emergency bells and potentially being the first person to attend an emergency. Whilst you are not required to have specialist experience previously, you will have a passion and interest in building an understanding and experience of the specialist care patients require in regards to Substance Misuse. Along with willingness of any required training linked to this.

This is a full-time role working 37.5 day time hours per week across 7 days a week.
