If you are looking to join an energetic and vibrant organisation that truly makes a difference to people’s lives on a daily basis we would like to hear from you. We are looking for a Scrub Practitioner or ODP with orthopaedic experience to join our team at an Outstanding rated Hospital. As part of our professional, friendly and compassionate team you will do everything you can to ensure the patient’s treatment is of the highest standard.
Our focus at all times is on ensuring that our patients receive high quality treatment quickly, in clean and comfortable surroundings.

About the role

You will be working as part of a friendly, welcoming and expert multidisciplinary Theatre Team supported by our experienced Theatre Manager, Natalie Rickaby. There is no night working, no Sunday’s, no bank holidays and there is no on-call! You can have more time to do the things you love doing. You will work 37.5 hours over 4 days.
You will be a part 1 registered NMC Nurse with experience of being a scrub practitioner in a theatre, or a HCPC registered Operating Department Practitioner. As well as being up to date with current research and developments in theatre practise you will have a sound knowledge of Health and Safety/Risk management within the operating department. You will be responsible for ensuring the continual cleanliness of the theatre and equipment. This role will enable you to develop and execute the correct procedures for ordering, receiving and transfer of blood and blood products as well as blood conservation.
It goes without saying privacy and confidentiality are key throughout the team and you will act as an advocate for the patient in the intra-operative phase and be responsible for “total patient” care in the perioperative phase.
