Looking for something a little different?

We're looking for Mental Health Nurses to join our Mental Health team within the healthcare department at HMP Bullingdon. This will involve working inside the prison, within healthcare and on the prison wings. HMP Bullingdon is a Cat B adult male prisons, near Bicester in Oxfordshire.

We could give you the opportunity to develop in to a specialist role of your interest and benefit to the service i.e. CBT, substance misuse, ANP, BBV, sexual health, plastering, ILS, health promotion, phlebotomy, vaccinations, suturing, wound care, RCGP, and long term condition courses.

In return for your hard work you will...

You’ll receive an annual salary up to £36,500 FTE - depending on experience + 2 year Golden Hello (£2,000 in Year 1 of service and £1,500 in Year 2 of service - conditions apply). You'll also get a number of benefits including a company contributory pension scheme, 25 days annual leave plus 8 public bank holidays plus (pro-rata for part-time hours), CPD and re-validation support. Part-time applications are welcome.

What do we need from you so you can do the job?

You will be a qualified Registered Mental Health Nurse with a real passion for developing your clinical skills in an environment that is ever changing. You’ll have a flexible approach working within a team that encourage new ideas and opinions on how to improve the service.
If you are self-motivated and able to work autonomously as well as showing plenty of initiative when it comes to handling a wide range of situations, then this could be the right role for you!

You will also be working as part of a larger multi-disciplinary team, alongside the primary care and pharmacy teams.

We're looking for those who can participate in a 24hr, 7 day a week rota.

Full-time time hours require role working 37.5 hours per week. Healthcare operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
